The Presidio Trust invites you to join them for two exciting Officers’ Club events:
Behind the Scenes Tour of the Officers’ Club
Saturday, November 5, 9 am & 11 am
Presidio Officers’ Club, 50 Moraga Avenue
The Trust is revitalizing San Francisco’s oldest building. The original adobe bricks (circa 1810) are now exposed for repair by skilled artisans. Join us for this rare opportunity to glimpse two-centuries back in time and to learn about the craftsmanship required to renew this historic treasure.
Adobe Brickmaking Workshop
Saturday, October 29, 9 am to Noon
Presidio Archaeology Lab, 49 Moraga Avenue
Learn the history of adobe, examine methods for adobe repair, and make adobe bricks at this hands-on workshop taught by the Presidio Trust’s adobe experts. There will also be a tour of the rehabilitation in progress at the Officers’ Club. RSVP: rsvp@presidiotrust.gov.
